Modu-Line: The
Next Level of Performance
This year, Applitec Tools introduced a new modular insert
and tool holder system designed to increase the performance
of CNC and CAM screw machines.
With the ability to expand its tooling capacity to manufacture
more complex parts simultaneously, the Modu-Line promotes
higher productivity. And with the built in coolant supply
feed, high productivity does not translate to diminished
accuracy. On the contrary, the coolant supply actually
increases tooling accuracy and the tool life of the insert
itself.
By delivering coolant where it is most effective: to
the tool tip, the Modu-Line system reduces heat, friction
and the need for deburring. The spraying facility, with
a choice of various directional nozzles, can be perfectly
aimed at the insert while withstanding high pressure systems
of up to 1500 PSI. All these benefits make the Modu-Line
system a cost effective alternative.
The Modu-Line system is extremely flexible. The modular
design allows for quick and easy tool replacement with
the facility of pre-adjustment and adjusting along the
tool length (X axis). Only the insert holder is taken
off while the coolant line, which the operator has perfectly
positioned, and tool holder base remain in place.
The tool holders themselves, available in a wide range
of options, can be assembled together to meet your specific
requirements. The system can also be combined with standard
tools. Lastly, the super rigid clamping system, coupled
with the presettable system, assures machining accuracy.
All these factors increase productivity, minimizing downtime,
decreasing costs and ultimately increasing the customer’s
